Anne-Marie has been practicing yoga for over ten years. Her spiritual path began unfolding while she was pregnant in 2001. The physical, mental and spiritual benefits she received from her yoga and meditation practices inspired her to become a yoga instructor and serve others by guiding them on their path of healing and self-discovery.
In May 2005, Anne-Marie graduated from Suzanne Cardinal’s Into This World Yoga Teacher Training program in Roslyn, New York and became a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered instructor with continued studies in prenatal yoga. Anne-Marie was so passionate about her work as a yoga practitioner and teacher that she pursued her studies and went on to become certified in Lore Kent’s Yoga Kids and Chair Yoga Trainings.
Anne-Marie has also studied with Adam Dobbs, David Swenson, Dharma Mittra and Desiree Rumbaugh. Her personal and teaching practices embrace Patanjali’s eight limbed path of yoga (or ashtanga yoga).
Anne-Marie teaches with a compassionate and loving heart and dedicates her work to cultivating seeds of awareness within herself and others in order to experience inner peace and to ultimately bring more peace into the world. Her teachings reach out to diverse and special populations including adult education programs, schoolteachers, parents and students in schools, seniors and Alzheimer’s patients in care centers.
Anne-Marie strongly believes that the qualities of yoga transcend the small self, the individual consciousness, and allow us to unite with something far greater, our Higher Self or Universal Consciousness. This process enables us to surrender and allow Spirit to guide us in our daily life.
