VinyasaOpen emphasizes the foundations in your classic yoga postures and teaches the principles of each pose so practitioners can apply them in more advanced postures.
Vinyasa Open is appropriate for intermediate practitioners and beginners who are familiar with the basic postures taught in the Vinyasa Flow style. The emphasis is on the connection of breath and movement. In order to build a yoga practice that includes advanced yoga postures, the principles of each type of pose in a yoga sequence must be understood and a strong foundation must be set. This not only prevents injury but will create easefulness in even the most complex postures when one is ready for them.
In Vinyasa Open modifications are offered, as well as deeper versions of the postures. Each practitioner can work at their own level. Vinyasa Open sequences will build strength and flexibility, while increasing concentration and balance.
The foundations and alignment principles taught in this class will enable a practitioner to move safely into a level 1/2 or level 2 VinyasaClass.
