Karma Yoga is the discipline of action and based on The Bhagavad Gita which is a sacred scripture that teaches the path of selfless action. In the Bhagavad Gita it is said that selfless action is the ideal path to the realization of Truth.
The word Karma is derived from the Sanskrit word Kri which means ‘to do’ while Yoga means ‘union’ so the translation of Karma Yoga is Union through Action. Karma Yoga is the action of doing, thinking and acting. It means both the action and the effects of that action while not being attached to either.
Karma Yoga is the action of doing, of selfless service, and is an integral part of yoga. Many know it as an outreach to the community. As a part of the Bonda community, your membership helps provide continuous service supporting local, and global communities.
