Donna has been an avid fitness enthusiast all her life. As a skier, runner, hiker and kickboxer, she turned to yoga to complement her other fitness regimens. "When I started hot yoga it was to help get my body in better shape. It never occurred to me that it would shape my life."
Donna completed her training with master yoga teacher, Jimmy Barkan and became a certified Level I instructor in The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga, which is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. She became Level II/III and Vinyasa certified in April, 2012 and is a RYT 260 yoga instructor.
Donna's belief that yoga should be accessible to all students in each class reinforces her teaching philosophy that while each person's journey may be different, we need not walk alone. She loves to challenge and inspire, but maintain a playfulness and environment for each yogi to turn their attention within. After graduating St. John's University with an M.B.A. in marketing management, Donna has been a healthcare administrator for over 25 years. She believes prevention is one of the most vital components of our healthcare system. In yoga, we can find the tools needed to create wellness in our bodies and our minds both on and off the mat. She looks forward to meeting all of you.
